MIAA leads nation in men's basketball attendance for 12th year in a row

The MIAA set the bar in attendance for men's basketball once again during the 2019-20 season.

For the 12th consecutive year, the league was tops in fan turnout with a total of 251,944 attending games around the conference.

Seven schools were also in the top 20 nationally in attendance, with Northwest at 15th with 22,812 fans coming to the 16 home games.

Others in the top 20 included Fort Hays fourth, Central Missouri eighth, Missouri Southern 10th, Missouri Western 14th, Washburn 17th and Emporia State 18th.

The 2020 MIAA Tournament Championship game between Northwest and Southern was also the second-highest attended single game in NCAA Division 2 with 6,455 fans.
